Reflection

So yes—
I cry at movies.
I ghost the party after two hours.
I believe moonlight is magic
and a well-made playlist
can save your soul.

I know how to swim deep.
And I’m learning
to stay afloat
in the shallow, too.

Just don’t ask me to wade under branches.
I still hate
getting filled up with water.
