Friendship Beneath the Surface
My soul friends rarely need words.
A glance. A silence. A shared knowing.
Especially the ones who feel like tide, too—
Cancers, maybe.
Soft but strong.
Aware of all the things
I didn’t say but still meant.
I’ve held space
without chains,
loved deeply
without holding tight.
But I’ve also let things fade
because I feared saying too much.
Turns out, vulnerability
isn’t a feeling—
it’s a language.
And I’m still learning how to speak it
without trembling.
