Eclectic tastes
arrive unannounced—
riding in on errant winds
that know my name better than I do.
Smiles,
small and trembling,
break like fragile light on water.
Waves follow—
not of the hand,
but of something softer,
a kindness carried quietly
in the eyes,
as if the soul forgets
how to hide.
Words flicker—
half-born,
half-afraid—
stumbling in the sacred space
you occupy,
as though language itself
is undone by your presence.
And there—
in the hush between heartbeats—
a life’s blood moves,
spilling gently through doorways,
into other lives,
crossing unseen streams
that bind strangers
into something almost holy.
I am left chasing stories
I don’t yet understand,
seeking tempos
that echo your breath,
hunting books
that might explain
why meeting you
feels like remembering
something I never lived—
and losing it
all at once.
Such a beautiful message! Captures the feelings we all experience but don't have the words to express! You do! Love it!
